A Unique Jubilee March of the Faithful Movement to the Holy Temple Mount and Biblical Jerusalem. Jubilee Holiday of Jerusalem Commemorates the Liberation of the Holy Temple Mount, Jerusalem, and the Biblical Areas of the Land From a Long Foreign Islamic Occupation

June 5, 1967, Godly Miracles and Appearance of G-d, Mystery on the Holy Temple Mount, Gershon at the Foundation Rock, Called by G-d to Build the Third Holy Temple

On May 24, 2017, 28 Iyar 5777, the Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement conducted a very special Jubilee March marking the “Temple Mount and Jerusalem Holiday”, the godly day that commemorates the 1967 liberation of the Holy Temple Mount, Jerusalem, and the biblical areas of the Land from a long foreign Islamic occupation. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the remarkable, godly, and heroic liberation. The march started at the Western Gate of biblical Jerusalem and passed through the streets of Jerusalem's Old City directly to the Holy Temple Mount. The goal of this unique march was to sound a clarion call to the people of Israel, to the government of Israel, and to the Knesset of Israel. The call to all of them was: “Make a major historical resolution before the G‑d of Israel and before all mankind saying, "In the Name of the G‑d of Israel, 4,000 years of history, and the covenant of our G‑d with His people Israel, we declare today an historical decision to build the Third Holy Temple for the G‑d of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, immediately with no delay, to be a house of prayer, worship, and love for His holy people Israel and for all nations." In June 1967, with the grace of Almighty G‑d, Jerusalem became again the eternal capital of Israel forever! The G‑d and people of Israel regained sovereignty over the Holy Temple Mount and Jerusalem that originated 4,000 years ago through G‑d's covenant with Abraham, that was re-confirmed 3,000 years ago with King David.”

The Six Days War started on June 5, 1967 when the Arab countries, with the help and support of the Soviet Union, surrounded Israel from every side calling to destroy the Jewish State and to eliminate the Jewish people through another holocaust. The government of Israel considered how to avoid this deadly conflict during the two weeks prior to the war. But then, like in biblical times, the people of Israel could hear the call of G‑d to them: "Go to war and I will defeat and destroy the enemies who are coming to destroy you. I will fight with my Israeli army in the field of battle. I will give you the greatest victory ever in the history of Israel."

Indeed, in only six days, actually in just three hours, small Israel, a minority against a very large majority, defeated Egypt, Syria, and Jordan, who were backed by other Arab Islamic countries along with the Communist Soviet Union, who supplied pilots to fight against Israel together with the Egyptian Army. Actually, Israel's enemies were defeated in three hours when all of their airplanes were completely destroyed by the Israeli Air Force. It was a godly war, one of the greatest historical miracles and appearances of the G‑d of Israel before His people Israel. Israel was not only redeemed by her G‑d but the people of Israel returned to the most biblical areas of their Land. Jewish people returned to inhabit the Israeli biblical kingdom of Judea, the Land of the tribe of Judah and also to Samaria, the Land of the ten tribes of Israel, and to Gaza, the Land of the tribe of Dan, to the Golan Heights, the Land of the tribe of Manasseh and to the Sinai, where Israel received the Torah from G‑d by the great prophet Moses at Mt. Sinai.

In the climax of this godly Six Days War, Israel liberated the Holy Temple Mount, the location of the First and the Second Temples that were destroyed in the year 586 bce by the Babylonians and in 70 ce by the Romans, respectively. The Holy Temple Mount has been controlled by Muslims since they occupied the Land of Israel in the year 638 ce when they expelled most of the Jewish people from their own homeland. On the most holy place of Israel and the entire world, the location of the Jewish Temples, the Muslims built the Dome of the Rock shrine and the Aqsa Mosque just like they did in other places that they occupied in the world. In Constantinople, today called Istanbul by the Muslims, they destroyed the magnificent Hagia Sophia Church, which was like the Vatican of Eastern Christianity, and they built there a mosque. They did the same in Spain and in India and also in Eastern Europe and in other countries that they occupied.

In 1967 the government of Israel made extra efforts to avoid the liberation of the Holy Temple Mount and biblical Jerusalem. The government's main concern was that it could bring against Israel an apocalyptic war of a billion-and-a-half Muslims who would be supported and backed by the Soviet Union and possibly even some Western powers in the world and these prospects could even wage a Gog and Magog War. On the other hand, a decision not to liberate the Holy Temple Mount and biblical Jerusalem could have been a profound mistake and a sinfully terrible decision against the very promises of G‑d to His people Israel that He will stand with them even if the entire world will come against them and He will defeat and judge anyone who comes against Jerusalem and Israel:

And the word of the LORD of hosts came to me, saying, Thus says the LORD of hosts; I was zealous for Zion with great zeal, and I was zealous for her with a great fury. Thus says the LORD; I have returned to Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called The city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts, The holy mountain....Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of staggering to all the peoples round about, and it shall also be for Judah during the siege against Jerusalem. And on that day I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all the peoples: all that burden themselves with it shall be grievously hurt: and all the peoples of the earth shall be gathered together against it...And it shall come to pass on that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem....Then shall the LORD go out, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle...And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: on that day the LORD shall be one, and his name One...And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall dwell secure.” (Zechariah 8:1-3; 12:2,3,9; 14:3,9,11)

The government of Israel even sent a message to King Hussein of Jordan saying, “If you will not attack us in Jerusalem, we shall not occupy and liberate Jerusalem.” However, G‑d had completely other plans for Jerusalem: He put in the mind of King Hussein, like He did with Pharoah in Egypt, to attack West Jerusalem. Now the government of Israel had no choice but to defeat the Jordanian forces and to liberate the Holy Temple Mount and biblical Jerusalem. The main goal of G‑d was that His people Israel would remove forever the foreign Islamic presence on His Holy Mountain, stop the terrible Islamic desecration and abomination of His Holy Hill, and immediately build with no delay the Third Holy Temple to be a house of prayer, worship, and love for His people Israel and for all nations that would open a new age in the life of Israel and the entire world:

"And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. And many people shall go and say, "Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the G—d of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths; for from Zion shall go forth Torah, and the Word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And He shall judge among the nations, and shall decide for many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, nor shall they learn war any more.... But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of Hosts has spoken it....for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations" (Isaiah 2:2-4; Micah 4:1-4; Isaiah 56:7)

Indeed, the major historical victory of Israel in the Six Day War against three Arab countries with the backing of all the other Arab countries and the Soviet Union was, as we said, the greatest miracle and appearance of the G‑d of Israel before His people Israel and in full-view of the eyes of the entire world. No doubt, it may be deemed the greatest miracle and event in the history of the entire world because we shall see it lead to the fulfillment of the prophecies of Isaiah, Micah, and all the prophets of Israel. Israel's prophets spoke about the end-times, and indeed, we are now living in those end-times. Can you imagine that after 2,000 years of destruction, while most of the watching world believed that G‑d had divorced forever His wife, Israel, and would never return her to Jerusalem, He showed to the entire world that His marriage and love for His wife, Israel, is eternal?

Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying, Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, thus says the LORD; I remember in thy favour, the devotion of thy youth, thy love as a bride, when thou didst go after me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown. Israel is holy to the LORD, the firstfruits of his increase: all that devour him shall be held guilty; evil shall come upon them, says the LORD." (Jeremiah 2:1-3)

On June 7, 1967, the third day of the war, the Holy Temple Mount and biblical Jerusalem were liberated by Israel, together with the Almighty G‑d of Israel. Biblical Jerusalem, the City of King David, and the dream of G‑d and His people Israel, came into Jewish hands and this championed a living reality forever. Two thousand years of destruction, when the people of Israel were exiled from their homeland and experienced persecutions, slaughters, inquisitions, and holocausts was ended in one day by the grace of G‑d. Billions of cubits of tears and prayers by the people of Israel and their mother Rachel were answered by the G‑d of Israel and opened a new revolutionary age in the history of Israel exactly as G‑d promised. It came to pass thanks to the eternal faithfulness of the people of Israel to their beloved G‑d, to His Word, and to their capital Jerusalem, and to the Holy Land of Israel:

"Thus says the LORD; A voice was heard in Rama, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rachel weeping for her children; she refused to be comforted for her children, because they are not. Thus says the LORD; keep thy voice from weeping, and thy eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded, says the LORD; and they shall come back again from the land of the enemy. And there is hope for thy future, says the LORD, and thy children shall come back again to their own border." (Jeremiah 31:14-16)

Indeed, the Six Day War was, like in the biblical times and even more so, a godly and miraculous war. Israeli soldiers who returned from the war shared of the miraculous events when G‑d appeared in the fields of battle exactly as He promised and fought together with His angels against the enemies of Israel. One of these miracles happened after a battle in the Sinai Peninsula when suddenly one Israeli soldier was seen walking toward his base with a battalion of one thousand Egyptian soldiers following behind him with their hands held-up asking to surrender to him. The friends of the Israeli soldier could not understand what had happened. They investigated the strange situation and asked the Egyptian soldiers and their commanding officers, “Why are you surrendering en-masse to only one Israeli soldier alone?” They answered, “Don't tell us stories, it was not just one soldier, but rather many many angels dressed like Israeli soldiers who defeated us.” Another time, Israeli soldiers shared how a woman with the image of mother Rachel directed them where to go and where not to go as they were forced to navigate across an area filled with land-mines during a dangerous battle. By the way, Rachel appeared again many years later in one of the brutal wars against the Hamas terror organization in Gaza.

Gershon in front of the Dome of the Rock
Gershon Salomon [left] in front of the Dome of the Rock a few minutes after liberation of the Temple Mount
On the third day of the Six Day War, the day of the liberation of the Holy Temple Mount, Gershon Salomon found himself on the Temple Mount and not by accident. It was the G‑d of Israel, Himself, that led and carried him to the place that since his childhood had been the vision and dream of his entire life. Previous to the Six Day War, Gershon, as a young Israeli officer who commanded an Israeli military unit, came under attack by Syrian forces in the area of the Golan Heights. The Syrians' goal was to occupy the area that Gershon's unit commanded. Gershon and his unit, a minority against a majority, defeated the Syrian forces. The defeat was, thanks to the appearance of G‑d in the field of battle, just as He promised. Towards the end of the battle, Gershon was severely injured. When the Syrian enemy was sent under the black of night to take revenge on Gershon, G‑d and His angels appeared again and protected Gershon but judged the Syrian unit. During those moments, Gershon so strongly felt the presence of G‑d around him speaking to his heart that his life was not over and that he will live and not die on the battlefield. As the moments stretched on, Gershon began to recite the 'Shema Israel' as he dedicated his life to the building of the Third Holy Temple. After one year in the hospital, he volunteered again to his military unit of paratroopers while still using two crutches. G‑d had kept Gershon alive just as He had promised Gershon on that dramatic night lying wounded and near death on the field of battle.

The continuation of this dramatic night was when Gershon found himself on the Holy Temple Mount on the exact day of it's liberation. Like in biblical times, G‑d appeared in the field of battle together with His Israeli forces during the very brutal and heroic battle that engaged the enemy who were staked-out in Jordanian bunkers a short distance from the Old City of Jerusalem. The Israeli forces defeated the Jordanian army, a minority of Israeli soldiers against a majority of Jordanian forces. The Israeli soldiers were prepared and ready to sacrifice their lives for the liberation of the Holy Temple Mount and biblical Jerusalem. Indeed, two hundred Israeli soldiers laid down their lives during the liberation of the Holy Mountain of G‑d and biblical Jerusalem.

The great moments atop the Holy Temple Mount on the spectacular day of it's liberation are the kind of moments that happen only once in the life of a nation, and it was Israel's turn to experience these kind of dramatic moments. Only the episode when the children of Israel stood before G‑d in front of Mt. Sinai can be compared to such a significant event as the 1967 liberation of the Holy Temple Mount.

As Gershon, together with many Israeli soldiers, stood inside the Dome of the Rock, the very location of the Holy of Holies of both Temples, standing in front of the foundation stone where the Ark of the Covenant was located, tears of joy fell from his eyes and from the eyes of the other soldiers. The atmosphere and the presence of G‑d was so strong that it blanketed the entirety of the Holy Temple Mount. When Jacob, the father of the Jewish people, dreamed on this very holy place and saw angels ascending and descending from heaven, he said, 'This is the gate to heaven'. This gate to and from heaven was opened on the Holy Temple Mount as long as the Temple existed. The message that was passed down to us from our forefathers is that the gate from heaven that was closed at the time of the Temple's destruction will be reopened when the Holy Temple is rebuilt. Indeed, we felt that this gate was again opened during these special moments in 1967 on the great day of the liberation of the Holy Temple Mount. Gershon felt that G‑d was calling him through this gate to build the Third Holy Temple with no delay and that he must fulfill the words that he swore to G‑d in the field of battle. Once again, Gershon, swore to dedicate his life to this fulfillment immediately in our lifetime with no delay.

The time spent on the Holy Temple Mount on that great day of liberation felt messianic in nature. Gershon felt like the Messiah was knocking on the gates of the Temple Mount calling the people of Israel to open-up the gates for him. Unfortunately the gates were not opened by the government of Israel and the Holy Temple did not begin to be rebuilt. The government of Israel missed the great moment of liberation because of weakness and concern that if they remove the Islamic presence from the Holy Temple Mount, it may open a world war against Israel. The leadership in Israel did not have enough strength to trust the Almighty G‑d of Israel and to answer His call to His people Israel to immediately rebuild His Holy Temple with no delay.

Gershon experienced a godly and mysterious event on the Holy Temple Mount on that great day of liberation that confirmed the call of G‑d to His people Israel to remove the Islamic desecration and abomination on the Holy Mountain of G‑d and to immediately rebuild the Holy Temple. It was when Gershon suddenly saw a man dressed in civilian clothing standing next to him, while only Israeli soldiers dressed in uniforms stood on the rest of the mount. The man began to speak with Gershon and the other soldiers. Gershon asked him, “What are you doing here in the middle of the war?” Bullets and fire were still being heard from every side of the Old City. The man spoke good English and was dressed in western civilian clothes. He presented himself as an Arab that worked as a tour guide on the Holy Temple Mount, though he did not appear to us as an Arab. However, he answered Gershon's question and said, “I was sent by G‑d to tell you that He expects you to move any foreign building and presence from the Temple Mount and to immediately begin to build the Third Temple on the same exact location of the First and the Second Temples.” Gershon and the Israeli soldiers were incredibly surprised as the man continued to say, “I know the exact location of the First and Second Temples. After such a long time of exile from your most holy place, you have probably forgotten the precise location of the Holy Temple. G‑d sent me to show you the exact place where you should locate the Temple.” This man took Gershon and the soldiers into the Dome of the Rock and said, “This is the location of the holy foundation stone where the Ark of the Covenant was located and where it should again be located.” He took them to the location of the altar next to the Dome of the Rock where the Muslims had covered the site and named it the Dome of the Chain after they occupied the Jewish Temple Mount.

The man took Gershon and the soldiers to other parts of the Temple Mount compound including the chambers of the Temple, the gates of the Temple Mount, and to every area of the Temple complex.

When he took them to the location of the Eastern Gate of the Temple Mount, the Golden Gate, he told them that after the Islamic occupation, the Muslims covered the gate, the gate where the Messiah will enter to the Holy Temple Mount, according to the Jewish historical message. In covering this gate, the Muslims were sure that by this action, they could avoid the coming of the Messiah. The man also said, “According to the Islamic Qur'an, a time will come when G‑d will halt and remove any foreign occupation from the Temple Mount and the Land that G‑d gave to you. This time has now arrived. G‑d is expecting you to immediately start to build the Third Temple.” Gershon and the soldiers were shocked to hear all of this from a person who presented himself as a Muslim. Despite this, he did not look like a Muslim or an Arab.

With the atmosphere on the Holy Temple Mount, Gershon and the soldiers felt that they were not standing on the earth, but rather in heaven and that heaven and earth had united together. The mysterious visitation of this strange man did not complete the great event of the liberation. Surely, it did not complete this greatest day in the history of Israel when the people of Israel experienced their dream of 2,000 years become a reality in one moment. It has followed the Israelis ever since 1967. No words can describe what happened on the Holy Temple Mount on that exciting day. However, suddenly and quietly, this person just disappeared. Gershen and the other soldiers never saw him again for the rest of the day. Fifty years after this major day of liberation, they are still asking themselves: 'Was this person a man or an angel that was sent by G‑d, like in the biblical times, to share with them the expectation that the G‑d of Israel has for His people and to show them the exact location of the Temple?' Gershon is still sure today, like he was on the day of liberation, that this mysterious man was an angel.

After this unforgetable visitation, Gershon returned to the Dome of the Rock in front of the foundation stone and with tears of joy falling from his eyes, he thanked the G‑d of Israel for this greatest day of redemption and liberation of the place that was throughout the history of Israel, and especially during the exile, the heart and the soul of the Jewish people, the focus of their faces, their eyes, and their dreams to return to their Promised Land and to rebuild the Holy Temple. The Holy Temple that will become, again, the center of their lives as G‑d will again dwell among them in the eternal capital of Israel, Jerusalem. Gershon thanked G‑d that He made the 2,000 year old dream of the Jewish people become an exciting reality. He thanked G‑d that He gave him the privilege of his life to be a builder of the Third Holy Temple and that He fulfilled His promise to Gershon when he was near death in the field of battle when he heard the call of G‑d to him for the first time to build the Third Temple, and now again hearing the call for the second time while standing in front of the holy foundation stone. Gershon swore to dedicate his life to the building of the Third Holy Temple and to the removal of the foreign desecration and abomination from the Holy Hill of G‑d in Jerusalem. Before G‑d, Gershon stood for a long time inside the Dome of the Rock and prayed and thanked G‑d for all of this. Then, in the holy place, he read and prayed from the Holy Scriptures of the prophets of Israel. Just as Gershon felt in the middle of this profound experience on the Holy Temple Mount, he sensed till the end that it was part of a godly dream:

"When the LORD brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like men in a dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then they said among the nations, The LORD has done great things for them. The LORD has done great things for us; we are glad. Bring back our captivity, O LORD, like the streams in the Negev. They who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who goes weeping on his way, bearing a bag of seed, shall come back with a joyful shout, carrying his sheaves.” Psalm 126:1-6

Indeed, almost the entire world clapped their hands for Israel on that great day of liberation. It is so sad that the leadership in Israel missed this great moment and allowed her enemy to return to the Holy Temple Mount and to continue the long desecration and abomination of the G‑d of Israel. Even the Israeli flag with the Star of David was removed from the top of the Dome of the Rock. Israel missed the greatest day in the history of the people of G‑d which could have opened a great godly age in the history of Israel and the entire world. G‑d liberated the Holy Temple Mount, not to be a place for tourists in Israel, but to be the place to rebuild the Holy Temple and to complete the climax of the process of redemption that Israel is presently experiencing.

Immediately after these remarkable and heroic events of liberation in 1967, Gershon, who by this time had completed his service in the Israeli army, founded the Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement in Jerusalem while standing on the Holy Temple Mount and this started the historical campaign and work for the rebuilding of the Holy Temple in the lifetime of our generation. In the year 1990, Gershon and the Faithful Movement prepared a cornerstone and carried it to the Holy Temple Mount in order to start the process of the rebuilding of the Holy Temple. The authorities in Israel allowed Gershon and the Faithful Movement to carry the cornerstone only as far as the area near to the southern gates of the Temple Mount and the City of David, the place where King David brought the Ark of the Covenant. Gershon and the Movement tried again and again to lay the cornerstone on the Holy Temple Mount. They promised that they would do so again and again until the cornerstone is located in the appropriate place on the Holy Temple Mount in order to start the rebuilding of the Holy Temple. Gershon and the Faithful Movement are presently and will in the future continue even more intensively the campaign and the work of the movement for the building of the Third Holy Temple on the Holy Temple Mount in Jerusalem. They will not slow-down the 50-year long and intensive campaign and work that has revived the major idea and goal in the conscience of both Israel and the world of the profound necessity to rebuild the Holy Temple. The Faithful Movement will never rest until the Third Holy Temple is built on the Holy Temple Mount to be a house of worship and prayer for all nations. (Isaiah 2:1-5; Micah 4:1-4; Isaiah 56:7)

Gershon knows that the day of the building of the Holy Temple is soon to come. Nobody and no power in the world can challenge the G‑d of Israel and His determination to complete the redemption of His people Israel and the entire world in the lifetime of our generation. The rebuilding of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem will change the face of all mankind, as it has been prophesied and is so needed especially 'now' in our lifetime.

Gershon is calling everyone in Israel and in the world, Lovers of Zion and Israel to stand with him and the Faithful Movement and to help them bring to pass the fulfillment of this vision and goal in the lifetime of our generation. The work and the campaign needs a lot of help. We thank very sincerely those who already stand and help the Faithful Movement.
